CHARLOTTETOWN: Time to open the windows and air out the house
It had to happen, eventually. The heat warnings are over, the wind is shifting to the NW and the humidity is on its way down. The dry slot is narrow but will serve up a lovely Friday across the region. By Saturday, a rainmaker approaching from the west will bring some much needed rain – not just showers but a lovely steady rain for the crops and the wells. We can expect anywhere from 25 to 40 mm of rain. Clearing returns early Sunday so the weekend won’t be a write-off. Fair weather is in store for the early part of the next week with cooler temperatures for everyone.
