A two-vehicle collision on the Confederation Bridge temporarily delayed traffic Thursday afternoon.
RCMP Sgt. Darrell Gill said the collision involved two trucks hauling campers. One truck rear-ended the camper in front of it after failing to notice it slowing down. There was maintenance work happening on the bridge at the same time, but RCMP was unsure whether the two incidents were directly related.
Journal Pioneer managing editor Brad Works was leaving the Island at the time and said traffic was stopped completely on the P.E.I. side for about 20 minutes before starting again.
Traffic was reduced to one lane for more than an hour while the vehicles were towed away.
No one was seriously injured in the crash.
No charges are expected to be laid.
